In the beginning (Eye of the world and New Spring), The Amyrlin Seat seemed to hold great power amongst the Sisters as well as the peoples of Randland. "As tough as nails," would describe what the Amyrlin was and well, we all know how rough and tough Suan Sanche was. Now, has anyone noticed that in the last few books the Amyrlin really held no power at all?

What I mean is that all of a sudden it seems as if the Amyrlin snaps her fingers no one jumps as they did in the first half of the Story. Has anyone really noticed this and do you possibly have an answer to this sudden change of heart that RJ suddenly seemed to show?
